Sometimes we really do need a slap in the face to wake up. Whether it's a black-and-white Clark Gable style slap or just a sudden realization that you've been misled and things aren't what you thought they were, a jolt can be absolutely refreshing.

So maybe we can never really know others, or maybe we just have to spend our lives searching for those people that will let us know them. Or maybe once we get to know someone, they just change, and leave us completely confused about everything we thought was true. This is one of those universal thoughts, isn't it? Part of the collective consciousness that we share with everyone who is living or has ever lived. I need to read a book, and find a dead soul that I can share this with.

So I'm at work and it is absolutely freezing in here. I'm not cool with that. (Haha, get it? I didn't even mean to!) I really should be writing my paper or reading for my classes or something, but it's 3:27 in the morning and it's been a long day. I like going back home to see my mom and my boyfriend and my pets, but I so do not miss Eden. What a shitty place. And going back to high school parties after you've graduated is only describable as unreal. Or ridiculous. How incredibly lame, really. Our high school parties were not that shitty, and I'm not just saying that. Kids today. They should learn to kegstand.
